| Group Travel Whether you're travelling as a family, sports team, company or just a group of friends wanting to get away, planning a group trip can be daunting. But with a little help from us, we're sure that your travel plans will go smoothly, and you'll come back from your vacation or trip looking forward to the next one. One of the first things to do is to decide WHO is going to go. If you're going on a fun trip, this is usually trickier than it sounds, as everyone WANTS to go, but when it comes time to "fork over the dough", all of sudden your large group dwindles to a few. To avoid this, try getting all of your costs up front as you begin to talk about the idea. Talk with your travel broker to make sure that you are taking into consideration ground transportation, taxes, port fees if you're going on a cruise, special seasonal rates and the like. Then present your findings to group, and layout your deposit amounts and due dates (this is good way to find out early on who will REALLY go with you). To make it easier, an experience travel broker will be able to collect those deposits for you and credit the right peoples accounts. With a little help, and a little planning, you can make your next group trip one you'll want to go on the next time! |
